Final Tryout of the Year

When: Saturday, May 24, from 11:00am to 2:00pm

What: Final Tryout of the Year

Where: TBA via Email

  • This is a tryout for two conferences MUN at UCLA will attend in late Earl Fall Quarter: NCSC, Georgetown University’s conference in Washington D.C., takes place from Oct 30 - Nov 2, 2025 (i.e Week 5 of Fall Quarter); BarMUN, Boston University’s conference in Boston, takes place from Nov 6 - Nov 9, 2025 (i.e., Week 6 of Fall Quarter - Weekend of BruinMUN);

  • NCSC and BarMUN are a slightly higher-level conference, as such we are not planning to have a MUN 101 session prior. We specifically encourage those who are slightly more experienced or who have traveled with us before to try out.

  • Note: This is the first tryout for conferences that we will attend for the 2025-26 academic year.

  • For those who do not wish to try out, participating still provides a platform to gain experience writing and debating in a welcoming environment.

  • More information regarding the tryout will be emailed to applicants on a rolling basis once you sign up.

  • If you are unable to attend the entirety of tryouts, you may indicate this on the form below and be eligible to schedule a make-up tryout. Please note that you may be asked to provide proof as to why you cannot attend tryouts.

  • Travel Team members will be required to attend weekly trainings during fall quarter leading up to each conference.

As a reminder, MUN at UCLA covers most travel and hotel costs for our delegates. Additionally, all members are trained and mentored by our head delegates. We want everyone to be prepared and comfortable when representing UCLA at national and international competitions.

Please feel free to contact Hadia at travel@uclamun.org, Madeline at training@uclamun.org, Anton at president@uclamun.org, or Joey at sg@uclamun.org with any questions or concerns you might have.

COVID-19 Policies

All students traveling with MUN at UCLA must be vaccinated against COVID-19 and willing to take a test prior to the conference they are attending. Proof of vaccination and proof of a negative COVID-19 test is required by the conferences we attend.
